This is the best project ever, I think, because it took about 15 minutes, cost $1.33 and now I have a fun new belt.
I bought this cute elastic from the fabric store for 33 cents. Usually when I buy clearance things like this, I have no idea what to do with them and they sit in a basket for ever. But this elastic, I knew, was crying out to become a belt.

So I sewed some D-rings to one end and doubled the other end over. I thought my sewing maching would be angry at the elastic because it was quite thick, but it sewed up like a dream.

And ta da, my fancy new belt (please note my shirt is only tucked in in a dorky fashion to display the belt, this is not how I usually dress, just in case you were worried).
