I am in the midst of my usual marathon mad rush to make all the Christmas gifts ideas I’ve come up with (three weeks?!). If you are in the same boat and still want to add some work to your list, or if you have very sanely finished all your gifts ahead of time and want something fun to start, you may like these. Knit picks has a great selection of free patterns on their site, including some Christmas knits like Twirl Top Stockings, Coffee Cozy and Coaster set, and Holiday Ornaments.

I googled “Weekend Knitting ‘Perfect Pie Shawl’” and pics of your completed shawl and helpful post pulled up. Thanks so much for the info! So far I’ve loved everything I’ve done from this book but this shawl (also a Christmas gift) makes me nervous. Nice to know, even though it gave you fits, you worked it out. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for the last-minute ideas. Actually, I’m done (I have a very good reason for this transgression against normality so please forgive me) but am already thinking about next year.

I tried to open your “coffee cozy and coaster set” pattern, and it says there is a problem with the link. Could you please e-mail me the pattern, as it looks like something I could make up for a few people for Christmas, and unfortunately I’m in the same boat as you … Christmas almost here, and I haven’t even started making gifts yet Thanks.
