I have been working on these patchwork bags for awhile and finally got them into a finished state to put them in the shop.
It’s too easy to waste heaps of time pulling out pieces of fabric and putting them into pleasing combinations. Eventually I had to just get on with it. The squares one is obviously inspired by this image from a Japanese craft book that has been floating around blogland for awhile. I found a great vintage pillowcase with the retro blue flowers that started it all off. The other two are just fun stripes, using some beautiful asian floral prints that I have been hoarding for awhile because I couldn’t bear to cut them up!

Wow, those are so cute and funky….and what a great way to use up smaller pieces of fabric. I love coming here and seeing what clever thing you’ve come up with.
