My second scarf of the season, with more to come. This is made from Louet Sales Mohair that I got from elann, on 6 1/2 mm needles. It took only one and a bit skeins and was a fun knit. I adapted the pattern from a larger diamond lace pattern that I got out of a knitting stitch dictionary type book. I have written out the pattern that I used, hopefully without any errors!
edit: Thanks, trish, for pointing out the mistakes in rows 8 and 10. I think I have corrected them now. Let me know if you spot any others!

gorgeous! Thanks for sharing the pattern. I have quite a number of stray balls of mohair in my stash — now they have some purpose!

That’s so pretty!
I must try my hand at knitting again. I got too frustrated at how slow it was in comparison to crochet, but I think I just need to be a little more patient.

hey, this looks like an awesome scarf, but i think the pattern you posted it slightly off b/c, i believe, that row 8 and 10 do not come out to 27 stitches, you would need more stiches to finish, so the first 24 rows do not really look like the picture…but, it’s a beautiful scarf

I just finished making this scarf and I love it so much! I do think your pattern was slightly off, but it wasn’t a big deal to fix it a little. Somehow, mine didn’t come out with the same nice edging that yours seems to have–I must have missed something there. Thanks so much for posting the pattern though–I posted a picture of mine on my blog if you’re interested in seeing the copy!

This is a lovely scarf! I would like to make one in another yarn that I have but wasn’t sure how much I would need. I am finding two different weights in this Louet Sales mohair yarn. There is a worsted at 105 yards/skein and a lace weight at 490 yards/skein. Can you tell me which one you used?

This scarf is lovely. Thank you so much for sharing the pattern, I am quite a beginner and it’s a great one to learn with. I am using up some stray pink mohair to make it. But maybe I am going wrong, because now that I am into repeating the pattern, instead of 4 eyelets inside each diamond, where I return back to the start for my next repeat, I am getting 6. Is there something about how the first and last rows duplicate each other and that they result in two extra eyelets? I might try and amend the sequence of rows and see if it solves the problem. I fancy the scarf in some other colours so will have time to find out…

I seem to be having trouble getting this pattern started. Whenever I try to do row 4, I don’t seem to have enough stitches to do the repeat. I thought the 27 stitches might be a typo so I tried 37 and that is too many stitches. Any ideas of what I could be doing wrong?
