fall yard clean up
Took advantage of the nicer weather recently to do some long overdue yard clean up and pruning and bulb planting. Hopefully the squirrels won't be snacking too much on the new bulbs and I'll actually see some flowers come up in the spring! November soundtrack

So, while I haven't had a lot of energy for blogging lately, I have started a bit of a new project. I recently got a smart phone, after years of resisting (have to admit, I kind of love it) and discovered instagram. I've always toyed with the idea of starting a 365 photo project but didn't know if I could really find the time to do it. With a tiny camera in your pocket all the time, it seems much more achievable. And even though the quality of photos may not be the best, it still creates a daily record and there's something nice about the act of thinking about doing something creative everyday that I think still pushes you to improve your photography skills. So I'm starting with instagram, and if I can keep it up then I might try switching it up with my 'real' camera in the future. Here's a few of my favorites from October (I started in the middle of the month).
