A great starter Indian book is Indian Food Made Easy by Anjum Anand. She did a British TV series, I bought the book, and we’ve had many great dishes, all relatively quick to make. http://www.anjumanand.co.uk/ you can buy it on Amazon UK.

I know what you mean about Indian cooking. It took years of unsucessful tries, and only kind of “got” it after going to the country itself, and watching people cook. I have to try your chana masala now. It looks delicious!

We love Indian food too. My husband makes his own curry by grinding together all kinds of spices so it’s normally good but takes HOURS to make. This looks good and quick.
